The coronavirus outbreak has forced our sangha community to put our -in person- meetings, events on hold, but we are still here.
The qualities of our Sangha, community, friendship, love define us, even as we adjust to this temporary physical distancing from sangha meetings.
We invite you to share our warmth of community by joining us for Sangha videoconference meetings using ZOOM. We want to stay connected.
If you would like to join our Sangha ZOOM meeting, please let us know by sending us an email to add your name to the ‘invite’ list for the Sangha Zoom videoconference meetings:

The Contemplative Christian and Universal Wisdom
Are you looking for a small community in which to delve more deeply into “Universal Wisdom”?
Sangha Shantivanam is a Christian community that welcomes people of all spiritual traditions interested in deepening their contemplative practice as taught through many of the world’s great traditions.
Our sangha was launched 14 years ago by Fr. Cyprian Consiglio who is currently prior at New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur. We share their charism of Solitude, Community and Self-Giving. Our gatherings include Sanskrit chant, readings from universal wisdom, chanting the psalms, teachings and meditatio as well as intercessory prayer.
We gather twice a month on Sundays from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Pastoral Center, Holy Cross Church, 210 High St.
On October 20, we begin our study of “Prayer in the Cave of the Heart”, The Universal Call to Contemplation” written by our founder Fr. Cyprian.
All are welcome. Ziggy Rendler-Bregman

Topic: "Building Understanding: What our Sacred Texts say to us about Conflict"
This is the second in this year's 3-part series, hosted by Chadeish Yameinu in Santa Cruz. We're going to discuss and reflect on how different faith traditions deal with conflict.
Our panel includes Rabbi Paula Marcus, Imam Thabet Anani, and Reverand Matt Broadbent, who will each share a relevant teaching from Judaism, Islam, and Christianity respectively.
We'll have plenty of time for the small group discussions you've enjoyed at prior Tent of Abraham events, and we'll end the day by planting an olive tree for the hosting congregation.
Please, please register so we can get an accurate count, provide printed name badges, and speed the entrance process!
(There's a spot to let us know names of others coming with you--kids are welcome, and there will be activities for those over 5.) That link, again, is:
